Histology: notes, practice links, videos, etc.......
Take time to run through these links. It will help you be successful
Epithelial tissue notes: simple, stratified, transitional, glandular
Here are some great resource sites for histology: Just copy and paste the URL into your browser

Practical identification
Awesome tutorial on how to classify and identify epithelial tissue!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpH0DHHQ2cs
Here is the link to the different types of epithelial tissue, simple and stratified: this should be your "GO TO" link outside of the text and classroom notes. If you click every hyperlink you will see drawings as well as actual slides of every epithelial tissue we will cover in class. Epithelial tissue begins on page 92 of your text. You must be able to identify/describe, and give an example of function and were you will find each of these tissues. Example: stratified squamous epithelial tissue: many layers of flattened cells, the cells at the basal surface are more rounded and become more compact at the apical surface. One of the functions is to form a protective barrier on the surface of the body. Stratified squamous forms our integumentary system (our skin). And then identify a slide of stratified squamous epithelium.
